The Design and Development Process

I keep writing and re-writing this section so that it will be totally concise, yet detailed and easy to understand and I’m just not there yet.

But, I feel like I should give you some info, even if it’s not perfect (why yes, I do have some minor issues with perfectionism!)

So, basically, I have you fill out my design questionnaire and then we get on the phone or exchange emails to chat about your project.

Once I feel like I have all the info I need, you send me a deposit and I either start designing your masthead or site and send you some rough ideas/sketches.

If it’s a custom WordPress site, I design and send you a sample or wireframe of the layout (a wireframe just shows, in color blocks, how the different sections of your blog pages will be laid out).  If you have changes, I make them and if you don’t, I start designing the look and feel of the site.

Once I have something for you to see, I send you a picture and again, if you love it, I start building it for real or,  if you have changes, I make them, re-submit etc.

At some point, you decide you’re incredibly pleased with my work and love what I’ve done and you pay me the balance due.

I then install your new site or send you your masthead and we all live happily ever after!
